As experienced travelers, my husband and I were both nervous about our first trip with Contiki. Needless to say, we had the time of our lives. Travel is what you make it. We knew we wouldn't be staying at 5 star hotels and we were expecting the long drives between certain destinations (I mean, how else would you arrive to your next destination?) To be honest, the people who wrote 1-2 stars must've had some crazy luxurious expectations. You're essentially traveling all over Europe! It's going to be fast paced! The reason I'm explaining this is because my husband and I used reviews to help guide our expectations of the trip.
Adam was our trip manager (we loved him) and Matt was our driver, honestly they were so great. We made a lot of friends and we did all of the free time add ons. It was all worth it for us. Don't feel pressured to do any of the add-ons, there were many people who opted to do their own thing and they still had a great time!
The bus was clean and also had two USB ports person chair, so awesome! There is free wifi on the bus but only for certain amount of time/GBs. You can always purchase more time/GBs if you run out. *Discretion: They also said our bus was brand new so I'm not sure if this is for every Contiki bus.
We couldn't have planned this ourselves (with the same cost) and if we did, we would've payed way more than what we payed for with Contiki. We just got back from our EuDiscovery trip last week and we're already planning another trip for September!!
