Doing the camping Contiki was great value for money. I got to see 22 countries, all of which were incredible. I loved all of the activities and felt it gave me some truly memorable experiences. The food was amazing as well. The staff and fellow Contiki travellers were such awesome people and they made the experience even better than I imagined. I'm so happy I booked this trip and it just makes me want to do another!

The tour was as advertised, there was no sneaky costs or experiences that weren't as great as we were told they would be. They were always honest with us with what to expect and ensuring we were all safe and happy.

An incredible trip to remember for a life time. Camping with Contiki was really well planned out, and once you got used to the set up, it soon became a normal way to travel.

Okay so this is a camping trip. It’s not glamorous. However, the blow up air mattresses were poor, short enough that most of our feet hung off the end and the tents were tiny. The campgrounds were fairly average however the Eastern European countries had incredibly poor campgrounds, some bordering on unsafe. Specifically, the campground in Macedonia which is at a world heritage site. They tell you to not touch the dogs because they are diseased, the showers are disgusting (dirty, toilets have ****** pads), men walking around at all times of the night and hanging around the toilets. Another stipulation they make is that you have to have your tents and air mattresses packed down before you have breakfast. The ‘Add on’ dinners were very poor for the amount of money you pay. If you’re going to buy them I would suggest the Parisian dinner and the dinner in Florence. Another thing to be aware of is that the a lot of the nightlife places they suggest you go to are ****, your tour manager will hype them up because they are contiki affiliated and they will gets free drinks. I suggest you do your research on the best clubs and take a few friends there. Another thing is the food, you pay $800 but you definitely don’t get $800 worth of food. Breakfast are normally pretty basic and so are dinners. If you have a special diet (gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, lactose-free) your meals will be very average. On my trip a lot of the people on a special diet bought there own food because they were so hungry.

The Original Contiki was amazing. It's super busy and there's always something to do. I loved travelling with a large group of people as I was never alone and made heaps of friends- always felt safe. Didn't do 5/5 stars as I personally wasn't a huge fan of tenting (although it wasn't as bad as I had expected) and some days on the bus were soooo long and boring. My TM was excellent and had such amazing knowledge of every place we went to. Would definitely recommend this trip for first time travellers to Europe.

The locations themselves wee amazing, however an extra day in some spots would have made this trip excellent as there were many times where 1.5hrs in Dachau Concentration Camp and other significant stops was just not enough, especially when the brochure clearly states leave a minimum of 3 hours.

Contiki was the most amazing experience of my life. From day one I felt so welcomed by all of our travellers and our road crew, and as time went on we only got closer. It was such a different experience to traveling by myself - knowing I had a supportive group of people around me, that everything was organised and ready to go and all I had to do was sit back and enjoy the ride? Amazing! And boy did things run smoothly. We always arrived on time, had the most amazing meals cooked for us by Nate - that was the biggest surprise for me, the incredible food he could cook in such short amounts of time and with such basic equipment, I was not expecting the food to be SO good! Our TM Keifer (aka Keiferpedia), was so knowledgeable about everything around Europe and so gueninely passionate about his job, plus he always had great suggestions when we didn’t know what to do. Our coach driver, João, was always cheerful and smiling and managed to get us in and out of so many sticky situations, god knows how. 110% this wouldn’t have been half as amazing as it was without the insane hard work and attitude from these three! The trip itself was incredible, covered so many places and gave us just enough time to pick our favourite hotspots before we were whisked off to the next place. All of the optionals were superb, even the few I didn’t expect to enjoy, and the fact that I can go home and say I traveled 24 countries with 35 amazing people is something not many people can say. I can honestly come away from the last 46 days saying I have #noregrets!
