The European Horizon trip was amazing, met some great people, had some awesome experiences, seen things with my own eyes that I have only ever dreamed of seeing.

Amsterdam was by far the craziest place of all, and the Canal Cruise is an absolute must!
Germany was just fantastic, from the sleepy little village of St Goar to the City of Munich, so much to see and I will be back to explore more of Germany in the future!
Austria was great, beaut scenery and the Paragliding was out of this world, have never experienced anything like this in my life! I wanted to do it again after landing! There are no words to describe the feeling of flying over the Austrian Snow Capped Alps.
Switzerland took my breath away that's for sure, and I was most looking forward to this part of the trip and it did not disappoint. So many awesome photo opportunities there.
Venice is insane, in a good way! The Gondola ride was fantastic and no trip to Venice is complete without this! Picture Perfect!
Paris was just AWESOME. Getting to see the Eiffel Tower with your own eyes is just hard to explain how great this was, and taking a stroll along the Champs-Élysées is definitely a must do!!

I would do it all over again, met great people and had a great taste of Europe. It is a very fast paced tour, but that is all part of the experience!

Everything is a little bit different in Asia, sometimes things don't go as planned (for example an overturned truck in the middle of the road in Laos that caused some delays, music videos being shot at the Bangkok train station etc..) But those are the things that make for fun experiences! (You never know what you are going to get with Asia)(But I guarantee you will love it!) This trip was so much fun! Be prepared to do a lot of sightseeing in a short amount of time. You will love Thailand- everything is so cheap, and it is a fun and exciting place to start your trip. Laid back Laos is AMAZING. Seriously, Laos is the best! Cambodia gives you insight to Southeast Asia, and the culture there is truly unlike any other you will experience. Vietnam is fast-paced, adventurous and Halong Bay is well..... You will have to take the trip to experience it!

Don't take this trip if you just want to check off boxes to say that you have been to Southeast Asia. Don't take this trip just because you want to go where they filmed the Hangover II. Take this trip if you have ever wanted to experience Southeast Asia for the amazing sights, scenery and way of life. A truly awesome experience.

Hands down best 25 days of my life without a doubt. Every single part of this tour was perfectly run by the amazing Lisa and driven by the greatest COACH driver in the world Pedro.
The itinerary gives you a glimpse into where you go and what you'll do, but the tour is made by the great people you will meet and the extras that they don't mention - the parties, city tours, added extras. I don't want to spoil anything all I can say is sign up for this tour right now and go and have a blast!

This was our first time seeing Vietnam, and this trip was an affordable and fun way to do it. Brendan was our tour guide and you will always feel safe around him LOL :) . The optionals are fantastic and there are enough free days to cruise around on your own - I loved the cooking class in Hoi An at Morning Glory definitely a highlight for me. My hubby and I were prob a bit too old for this trip (33 yrs) and we were relieved to see other couples on the trip, but our tour mates were so great and a real fun loving bunch, I really enjoyed there company !! Brendan and the tour guides gave us a great introduction to the history of each location, and I learnt more about the Vietnam War on this tour than I ever did at school. Be opened minded to the experience and be prepared to things differently, e.g. instead of going to a modern/popular bars to drink and listen to music on your free time, go to one of the smaller restaurants and drink bia hoi and talk to the locals...costs 25c (4000dong) and support the smaller families in the area. All in all an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE, loved the Contiki experience and will definitely squeeze one more tour in before we reach the age limit LOL...Thank you Brendan top job xxx

My Contiki was: AMAZING, STIMULATING, DELICIOUS!

Excellent tour. Probably one of the best trips of my life. I met so many people on this trip that I've actually stayed in touch with over the last year. I've even gone travelling with some of them after. I was able to see so many sites that I doubt I would have been able to on my own. I know people say that Contiki is a very bar oriented and party hard kind of tour group, but really it comes down to who you hang out with. I hung out with like minded people who would rather experience more of the cultural aspects of this region than sit in a bar -which you can do at home. We saw a lot more sites than many of our tour group did because we chose to spend our time differently. On your free days be sure to wake up early and make the most of your days. Sleep in when you're at an all inclusive - not here. There's too much to see and do. Also wear a money belt! Two people I was with almost go pick pocketed. Fortunately one of them had a money belt. I did almost every optional except for the group photo one which we did anyway with out the additional price. I don't recommend the club in Italy. Lots of teenyboppers and techno music - but maybe that's your thing. If you have any questions about this tour give me a shout.

This tour was amazing! Absolutely the trip of a lifetime! Did so many amazing things! White water rafting in Austria, gondola ride in Venice, went to the top of the Eiffel Tower in France! The whole trip was simply fantastic! I made so many awesome new friends and I am already looking into another trip overseas! I will definately travel with Contiki again! Everything is so organized and the tour managers/bus drivers are such amazing people!!!!

To sum my time up it was: AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, AWESOME FANTASTIC INSANE DRUNKEN EDUCATIONAL TIME

Great tour for my first US trip as a solo traveller. Started towards end of June in the heat wave. Also on a full bus of mostly Aussies. Long bus rides but good for talking, chilling out or sleeping. The tour starts off with a bang heading to Vegas for a couple of the most memorable nights of your life. Grand Canyon experience was also great and a good contrast immediately after Vegas (I did the heli flight, bike ride and managed to squeeze in a short hike). Durango (adjacent to rockies) was probably the best extended lunch stop on tour (picturesque and plenty of action with optionals). Santa Fe was another beautiful town for an extended lunch stop. Great nightlife throughout thanks to our tour guide. Only downside was leaving the tour in New Orleans (only 4 out of 54 ended here) - as I'm writing this review, my tour group will be in Washington on the tail end of the Grand Southern and I have been missing them heaps. If you can, do the Grand Southern, especially if you're a solo traveller because you will simply not want to end your experience halfway through!

This tour was amazing. The activities and optionals were really fun and there was alot of spare time for checking out the cities.Be prepared for long bus rides, but these are okay because everyone on the tour is so fun. The tour manager, eileen, was amazing, and helped out everyone with all thier questions, even though there were 40 people on the tour. Vegas and the Grand Canyon were highlights for me, as well as San Fransicsco ... and Lake Tahoe .... actually every single second of the tour was awesome! Do this tour!!!!

By far best thing i have ever done. Trip was amazing, Tour guide was the best one you could of wished for. And the people i completed the tour with were all in the same state of mind as me, there to kick back and enjoy what Asia had to offer.

Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Asia first hand. I missed out on the extended Vietnam part due to lack of holiday time from work but wish i had done it aswel.

Hugely enjoyable, good price, and a lot packed in that was able to be experienced in enough time.

This was an amazing trip!
The scenery was spectacular...the black & red beaches at Santorini were...breathtaking. All the hotels on the islands (not Athens) were really great.
The tour guides were really professional yet fun & genuinely friendly, despite a couple of dramas people had.
All the included food was really nice, but there wasn't really any alcohol included, so BYO.
The pace was also perfect...I'd happily do this same trip again.

My Contiki was: Scenic, Fun, Relaxing

5 stars overall!!! Great pace considering we visted quite a few cities and had to travel every other day - comfortable coach, well planned so we had enough breaks but also kept on schedule - got to visit so many great cities on one trip - amazing tour guide - great balance between free time and time w/ the tour group - would definitely do contiki again!

My Contiki was: Unforgettable, Comfortable, Awesome!

European Contrasts plus Corfu

★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ Fun

This trip was alot of fun very full on early mornings long bus rides short visits in some of the cities we visited which was a bummer! but can always go back another time now i know where to go! Paris is just absolutely amazing every where you go in Italy was amazing and the food and coffee is just to die for especially gelato its all you will ever eat! accommodation was always good only a few spots i didnt like because it was too cold and no heaters but we survived!

Enjoy!

My Contiki was: amazing, beautiful, wonderful

I had the best time of my life during the European Experience... My whole group was fantastic and have made some friends for life.. You need to do all the optionals.. Your only there once so try everything. Austria & the Swiss Alps are the 2 most beautiful countries. I wish we had spent more time there! One of the best nights out was Nouvelle Eve Cabaret show! Best optional without a doubt was the White water rafting & paragliding in Austria.. Try as much of the local foods as possible.

This trip was through a Prodive company located in Cairns, Queensland. After about 20 minutes of being on the boat I quickly realized I was the only one snorkelling. The rest of the individuals were diving or completing their diving certificate. I was a little concerned with this at first. I had a few divers come snorkelling with me one time, which was fun. I also paid 50 dollars and went diving with an instructor twice. This was absolutely amazing. I would recommend diving over snorkelling if you have the opportunity, but snorkelling was so amazing in itself and the staff and food was amazing. Every time we got out of the water there was food waiting for us!
Unfortunately the weather was not the best, so we sat inside the boat when we weren't in the water, but there was definitely enough room for everyone to fit comfortably and be social!

Was GREAT FUN! Meet lots of people, but wish i had done the larger tour and visited more countries, CAN'T GET ENOUGH!!

I completed this tour in June of 2012, and it was the best experience I have ever had.

Our tour guide Jon was outstanding, he was like the father of our contiki family.

Every place we visited was amazing, the accommodation was great, the food was great, the add-ons were excellent and the night-life was amazing.

Speed-boating and the Zoo in San Deigo, Ballooning in Arizona, Hiking the Canyon and the Yosemite ranges and Biking in San Francisco are all optionals that I completed that I can highly recommend, along with the Helicopter over the Canyon (which I didn't participate in but heard amazing reviews about).

You think the Grand Canyon is beautiful, you should see the jaw-dropping sights at the Yosemite Ranges, and you think you will have a hangover from Vegas, wait till you party at Bass Lake.

I recommend that everyone pay for the "Contiki Surprise" as it was also well worth it.

The 50+ people on this tour started off as strangers to me, but are now part of my contiki family - or the "contiki dream-team", and I have ensured to keep in contact with these people as I now consider them to be friends that I will have for life.

Anyone considering doing this tour should go ahead and book, I can guarantee that you will thoroughly enjoy each minute spent on this trip.

One thing that I can also recommend is after you hike the Yosemite Ranges and you head back to Bass Lake - hire a boat or a jet ski and enjoy your time at the lake, it is very reasonably priced and no licences are required. Along with that, enjoy a swim in the lake after sunset - it is beautiful.

My Contiki was: amazing, jaw-dropping, perfect

This tour was fantastic and our tour manager Laura was great!! The hotels were decent, basically you can't expect much in Europe (twin beds pushed together, tiny rooms sometimes you have air and sometimes you don't lol) but they were all clean and in great locations close to transit or city centers. On our free day we spent a day on a wine tour in Tuscany with darkrome tours it was fantastic and I recommended Contiki add it as an optional because it was one of our best days, as for the guided tours we had a really good guide Peitro in Rome but to be honest you may want to do what another couple did and download an app with all the history on an ipod or tablet or walk around with a guide book (Rick steves Europe is great) only because when you are on the tour you can feel as though your pushed through I felt this way in Pompeii and at the Akropolis and if your like me you may want to explore it on your own time spending longer in some areas, the great thing about Contiki is you can do as little or as much with the tour as you want so if you go on your own its no big deal other then you have to get back to the hotel on your own just let your tour guide know if you do leave so she/he isn't looking for you. I do suggest to buy a 3 day metro pass in Rome that way you can get lost and just hop on the subway to get back to the main areas. When you arrive from the airport there is a taxi tariff of $40 euro flat rate (no matter how many people are in the cab) its a good 45min drive into town and if you want a stress free arrival into your hotel I recommend this!!

The dinners are great and a fun way to socialize with your group but if your a couple sometimes we found it cheaper and more intimate to just go on our own to a little bistro (it was our honeymoon) but as a single traveller I highly recommend the contiki dinners but one optional dinner that was by far the best is the traditional greek meal in the taverna in Corfu everyone should go to that one and the optional in Rome was fun too!! The food is good not amazing as with any place that feeds lots of people at once plenty of pasta.

In Athens if your staying at the Arion hotel get some people together and all get takeaway food and have a buffett meal its cheaper and you can just buy wine/beer super cheap at a store theres a beautiful rooftop with the Acropolis lit up behind you overlooking Athens the hotel was very good at providing everything you needed as long as you cleaned up and you can even have music via an Ipad. Try the Calimari if you don't get grossed out by visuals (its an entire grilled squid lol) it was amazing get the cheese sauce in the middle yum!!

As for other optionals that you must do, the boat around Capri was amazing but I wouldn't bother paying to see the blue grotto theres plenty of nice grottos to see for free and I found this to be a tourist trap ripoff but some people loved it so you decide. Georges Boat is a blast and a contiki staple, Ephesus and village Akritini if you love history.

For anyone worried that Contiki is the equivalent of Jersey Shore you have no worries, yes there is a party atmosphere but I have been on 4 tours now and theres someone for everyone (just like camp lol) I have travelled as a couple and as a single traveller and have always met the most amazing people that I have staying in touch with for years and feel blessed to have met. Every night theres the option to head out to a local bar courtesy of your tour manager but nobody has to go and you can drink as much or as little as you feel comfortable the best part about being on vacation is nobody judges anyone and everyone just wants the best experience, for myself I always went out but usually was in bed by midnight so my day was never ruined with too much of a hangover lol.

All in All everyone should go on a Contiki tour its an experience of a lifetime!!
