Can the departure date or itinerary of a scheduled departure be changed for my group?
Unfortunately no. The departure dates and day-to-day itineraries for scheduled departures are set and cannot be changed. There are lots of departure date options to choose from and tons of free time built into our itineraries for your group to explore (or do other activities) on their own. If you require a specific date and have a group, take a look at our custom group options.
How long can I hold group space on a departure?
It depends on how popular the trip is, you may be able to hold it for a few days or a few months. With just a $200 deposit per person, you can lock in your group for the trip. Contiki reserves the right to release spaces if require due to availability.
Are there age restrictions?
Contiki’s scheduled departures are solely for young travellers between the ages of 18-35 (on the first day of travel). If you have a group of travellers outside of our age range (18-35), a custom trip can be arranged.
What’s included?
All scheduled departure trips include accommodations, daily breakfasts, some dinners, a dedicated Trip Manager & Driver, transportation, sightseeing in all major cities & tons of special inclusions (like line skipping). Check out contiki.com for full trip itineraries & inclusions.
Can we choose the number of meals that are included in the itinerary?
Unfortunately on a scheduled departure the meals that are included are already set. We do cater to all special dietary requirements as part of these included meals. If you would like to customize what is included in your trip, you can do so with a custom group.
Are the quotes based on single or twin-share accommodations?
All quotes are based on the style of accommodation being offered on the trip selected. If you would like to modify the accommodation style you can do so on a custom group.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
Out of country Medical Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all Contiki trips. You can purchase travel insurance through a third-party insurance provider. Manulife in partnership with Contiki offers a comprehensive travel insurance plan. Details can be found by clicking here.
