Hi all,
Was wondering what everyone wish they had known before leaving to go on tour!
Eg:
Was there anything that you didn’t need?
Wish you had brought?
Any optionals you wish you did or wish you didn’t do?
Hope that makes sense!
Thanks!

I’m from the U.S. and was wondering what it would type of “currency” it would be best for me to bring. My credit card has a high enough limit, but my mother still insists that travelers checks are best…and I know I should probably bring some “just in case” cash, but how much is too much? I’m only going for thirteen days (the 12-day Amsterdam to Barcelona tour with one extra day in Amsterdam). Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
A friend of mine and I are looking at doing the NY Explorer in sep 09 but wanting to do the trip that leaves on the 15th of Sep…we’re a little worried cause it’s not a prefered departure date :s Just wondering if anyone would know what the odds of it being canceled are?
Also, if you do book it and it gets canceled, does the hotel we’re booked in offer you a deal of any kind?
Thanks
Shona

8 weeks to go until we leave for our Europe trip ![]()
As with most girls I have already started trying to plan what to take and not to take in my backpack!
I am looking for some help as to whether I need winter or summer clothing for my trip.
We are heading to Tokyo first, onto London and then the usual trek throughout Europe. We will probably be staying in the general UK area for a working holiday afterwards!
I have some thermals, polar fleece/wind fleece and a down jacket already (due to a trip to NZ a few months ago!). Any suggestions???
Thank you!!!!!!!!!

Hey Everyone
Just wondered if anyone that has done this tour or knows about it can give me some advice. Just wanting to know what you do on the NYC Explorer that is not listed in the book – do you walk over the Brooklyn Bridge?
My partner and I are there 3 days before the tour starts so we dont want to do the same things twice with so much to do and so little time!

Hi Guys,
I’m looking for a bit of advice. I’m travelling to Europe next June and am doing an 18 day contiki tour ‘European Whirl’ and then going to Spain, Greece and Croatia!
I was wondering if any one could advise me on how much spending money I should bring. I’m a first-timer to Europe and I just want to start budgeting now so I’m prepared.
Thanks very much.

I’m taking the tour London to Athens from April 13th to April 29th and I plan to spend a few days on one of the greek island before heading home. Which island would be the most fun and the warmest to go to from April 29th to May 1st? Also, does anyone know a good way of travelling and a cheap place to stay on the island? Is it better to book in Athens or before? I’m going by myself so I’m flexible.
Let me know!!! Thanks!!

Hi there,
I’m quite worried about this, because whenever I go overseas, I always gain weight which REALLY REALLY annoys me because of lack of exercise and always eat junk food. I know that I can’t cut down on foods, because in Europe, I really want to try everything! But I also want to look amazingly healthy and trim for my euro boys haha!
Please help with tips?

Has anyone traveled with there laptop and regretted it? Just debating on bringing my laptop. It would be nice to have internet access to email friends and family back home while I’m away cause of the 15 hour difference from where I live and Sydney. Also just found out that the hotels I’m staying in don’t offer free internet or use Dial up. Being from the U.S. free internet is so common here and can get it anywhere and for Dial up, who still uses dial up lolol mad old school. Does anyone know if there are any internet cafe’s around Sydney that are easy to access?

So I’m doing my first tour in Feb ‘07 and am landing in sydney, but my tour starts in cairns. Who has the cheapest flight, sydney to cairns? I’m travelling solo so I think flying might be my best option or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Hi! I just wanted to ask why London explorer is more expensive in May? Is it because of the month? or will the price still decrease? Prices for feb and march are much cheaper. ![]()
Thanks!!
