Hey People! I´m not a good drinker at all… So, I have a silly question: how does the bill come in Hofbrauhaus?? I mean, it´s an individual bill for each person or only a single bill for the all people in the same table?? Just wondering for my budget… Thanks for any advice…

contiki’s schedule says we will be visiting sagrada familia church, olympic stadium and la rambla that day. would i have time to do a 2hour tour to the CAMP NOU Barcelona stadium after that? doors close at 6:00pm. this tour is not included with contiki and plan to go myself. will the bus wait for me or is there somewhere it will be staying? it is really too bad it is not included on the sightseeing…being the number 1 attraction at Barcelona.

I’m just wondering if anyone knows if Contiki lets you combine various discounts, like the past traveler discount, early booking, refer a friend, etc. Also, if I refer a friend for a tour, can I use the gift card for the tour we will be going on? How exactly does this work?
Also, we will be booking 2 tours together, one after the other. Can I use the past traveler discount for both these tours?

Hey Melbournites and Sydneysiders!
On my way home from uni today, about page 5 or 7 of MX (a trashy free newspaper handed out at train stations) there was an article about finding LOVE on contiki!
It said almost 2000 couples met on contiki and are now married about the 2millionth traveller will be going on their trip soon.
Pretty cool ![]()

Hi
I read in the brochure that there are power points in the coaches so you can charge your phone/camera/ipod while your on the road. is that true? I’ve got an Aus/US adapter and all my chargers are multivoltage.
Thanks Amanda

Hi!
I would love to go to Egypt but I am worried because I hear there is a local guide and I am not sure they would respect western standards of political correctness…

How do most of you pay for your trip?
a. Work hard & Save Hard
b. Get a loan from the Bank
c. Use Credit Cards
d. Get a loan from a Family Member
e. A combination of the above
Because I want to go on a long europe trip this summer…but i’m not that good at saving, and I don’t get paid much and i’m in school still…so I don’t know if I should get a loan from the bank/or a family memeber,or just try and save. I don’t mind saving, but then I wouldn’t be able to go until a couple of years probably lol. Help me someone ![]()

hi, i know that you do a fair bit of drinking while on contiki but how often would you go to clubs, real nice resturants ect.. iv been told alot to minimise the amount of clothes/shoes you take but im a fashion-aholic & while during the day i just go pretty casual when it comes to going out i love to dress up & wont go out casual, so i know im probably going to end up with to many clothes.
(i just went on a 1 week holiday & didnt wear at least a third of my stuff just to give an indication of my over packing habit)
Aaarg! What am i to do! Lucky iv got till september to try fix this dilemma!
What would be the most amount of shoes any of you girls out there would take??? ![]()

Hi all! I am heading to England, Italy (on Simply Italy tour), Greece and Thailand in May/June this year. I am wondering whether anyone is getting the swine flu vac before they go? I have not thought of it before now as I have had all my vacs for Thailand before. But yes – to get, or not to get, the swine flu vac – what do we think?

Does anyone know if you can buy a sleeping bag at the Contiki basement in London? And if you can, how big are they, and how much do they cost? I’m having a lot of trouble deciding if I should bring one or try and get one in London that I can leave behind at the end of the tour (if it wasn’t too expensive to start with).

hi all,
I just thought of a wonderful idea (we i thght it was!!) to save a few EURO’s here and there… I hope it will work!
As we all need water, i figured i’d buy one of those drink bottles that purify the water for you? that way instead of buying bottled water everywhere you can just get water free from the tap and let the bottle clean it for you?
Has anyone else done this? You think will work?
99 days and counting!!!

Hey,
My husband and I are going on the European Encounter July 9 to 26. Has anyone here done the Encounter, and do you have any helpful comments or advice about this particular trip?
I am concerned about the ’tourist traps"—the perfumery sounds like a giant commercial to buy perfume—that sort of thing.
Does anyone know of any things to see and do that are off the beaten path, ie flea markets, etc? Thanks!
