I’m booked to do the London – Paris tour starting on either 16h or 18th of August, I can’t remember the exact date.
My dad has booked my tour for me. Will the travel agent give him details regarding contiki regarding what luggage I should pack, how much money I should need, what clothes are required, etc? At the moment I have no idea on anything, even down to wht sort of bag I need for the tour.
Also, I’m booked into the hotel that the contiki tours start at in London, for three nights before the tour starts. I’m ssuming this is the Royal National?

Hi everyone-
wondering what you, especially ladies, have worn in europe during the day in july? i want to try to wear as “normal” clothes as possible, ie; wear what i would wear at home on a daily basis. I usually wear a casual dress and comfortable flats on a summer day and i was wondering if this is a fine idea, being as though we sit on a bus for much time?

i’m actually travelling to vietnam, cambodia, thailand THEN australia (aussie explorer march 09 wooo!) and new zealand.
but i’m really not sure what international phone card to buy.
has anyone come across the cheapest company? or cheapest way of calling home?
any help would be great thanks!

Important Question …
I am just going over my travel docs for my upcoming trip to Sydney and I have three different hotels listed on the Contiki docs.
In the “Your Tour Documents” the travel Voucher refers to Chifley Potts Point, then the Hotel Accomodation Voucher refers to the Holiday Inn Potts Point, and then on the Itinerary & Optional Excursions it refers to the Travelodge Hotel Sydney.
I am confused. Can anyone set this straight for me?

Hi! Me and four friends are going to LA and San Francisco in June. I was wondering if there’s somebody who’d like to give us some advices or tips or so. It is the first time for me visiting the US. So advices would really come in use. We’re four swedish girls and we would sure like to know which places we should avoid to not get eaten alive.. And also the places we really shouldn’t miss. Hi All!
I’m going to be in Paris on Bastille Day this year for my one “free day” on the RTA tour. Will things still be open that day? What about the Louvre? Normally the Louvre is closed on Tuesdays, but Bastille Day is Tuesday this year, and the Louvre is normally free & open on Bastille Day? I just don’t want to miss out on going there!

G’day all. Just wanting to find out if any farmers or country people will be on tour in the states in JAN @ FEB 08. I’m from QLD, AUST n will be touring around on holidays and business. Wanting to kickstart the trip with a contiki tour in Jan. cheers.

hey contikians; im from dubai plannin 5 nights in melbourne and would kill to stay in a quality affordable ON THE BEACH side accomodation in st kilda..appreciate any names/leads/numbers! AND for that matter, meeting up with fellow fun contikians livin in melbourne. im there oct 15 onwards..thks+

didnt know this before going on the tour, but you actually join another group that has been traveling for a week already.
makes it harder to make friends on the tour as everyone has already bonded, was still a fun trip…. but would have been a lot better if everyone started at the same time

This might be an odd question but I have heard numerous rumors that Australia and New Zealand people are nice, except to the minorities such as Asians or darker skin tones individuals, is this true?
Are there any one who joined the contiki trips to NZ and found any individuals who are of these ethnicity?
I want to have a great time there and not wanting to get treated poorly, as I am going by myself.

Hey all,
I am having alot of trouble finding the right travel insurance. I have been quoted between 500 and 2000 dollars for the same length of insurance in the same area. (365 days) Im going to be overseas for two years this time and I as far as I can see there are no insurers who unsure for this long.
What I wanted to find out is if anyone has a stand out insurance company. Im an aussie by the way. Also, has anyone purchased off an internet based insurer.. Im a bit wary for some reason 
Ive always bought from MBF but they have doubled thier prices!!

Hi everyone!
Would it be possible for me to travel to Australia a few weeks prior to the start of a tour? I have friends who live Australia who I’d want to visit before the tour starts, and maybe again after it ends. Is airfare booking done only through Contiki, or can I book it seperately?

Hi Guys,
Just wondering if October Winter Wanderer’s usually fill up. I’ve book the first tour of the season. The thing is that i haven’t booked my flight through contiki, so if it gets cancelled, I’m up S*#t Creek.
Just wondering if anyone had a full or near full tour around this time.
It will help put my mind at ease.

hi guys
ive picked a guaranteed departure date for euro escapade in april (so far no-one else on here is doing this date that i know of) and i was just curious as to how many people have been on the tours that you have been on?… in your opinion was it better to have a tour to capacity or one with only half the numbers for instance?
i must admit i am worried that it might just be me and the the TM and driver!
