hello im after a bit of advise im thinking of booking either the winter wanderer or european vista tour this year.Any ideas which one is better?or if anyone has been on either and can give me a bit of an idea what to expect that would be great.

Hey Guys I’m a little confused on the Contiki Village part of the deal do we need to bring sleeping bags and pillows for that part of it?

I did a European Highlights tour in July last year which was amazing; gave me a great taste for Europe so I would like to go back!
I will be travelling on my own again so I like the thought of doing another Contiki tour. I want to stay in hotels this time around so I’m looking at the timeout tours on offer.
I can squeeze in a trip around 3 weeks or less in early January. I’m looking forward to see the difference winter makes in Europe, but to help me decide I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions about good places to visit during the European winter? Was there anywhere you thought could be better to go to during warmer weather??
I would love to see Paris again, but I’m also really interested in seeing Prague (major architecture junkie!), so if your tour got to see both your recommendations would be much appreciated!!

Whats the best way to get from LA to Las Vegas and back? my Wild western just got cancelled so im thinking of doing it inside out (doing california highlights then western highlights) only thing i can find to do…but i need to get from LA to LV….

Hey guyz,
Now I am absolutely freaking out because bout this trip as I have never ever done anything likes this before…I’m like the most boring 21 year old I swear cause all I do is work, Rarely go out so work and sleep is pretty much all I do.
But I have planned this trip for something exciting…going on my own so I’m already holding my breath and goin blue in the face with fear.
I’m from Australia and would like to know what the plane trip is like to London, not really a fan on flying and I have never been on a plane longer then an hour and a half haha so I’m in for a shock….plus when the plane stop for change over or re fueling is it possible to get lost at the other air ports when finding ya next plane.
What happens when ya get to London…where do you go from there? I would be like yeah cool made it here now what am I supposed to do haha find a bar for a drink I’m sure that will come to mind but yeah…
Any who will head off and leave yas to it…any one have any tips please feel free to share and care lol

Just looking to get general advice on the 32 days camping tour through Europe departing Sept 2008. Anybody been on this before? Want to know about what clothing to take, what the camping is like, any other travel tips.

hey
i was wondering if anyone knew of a place in anaheim who would store an extra bag for 2 weeks while i am on my tour i have been travelling for the last 4 months and have aquired an extra bag. i have called several hotels and they wont keep it so i was just wondering what others were doing in ths situation? is it possible to store it in the buses storage area? or does anyone know of a cheap shipping compy that i could ship it home to australia with?

Hi All,
I have a SGD 50 dollar voucher for use by December 2007, to pay for tours from now till 31st March 2008. Was given by Contiki in one of their marketing promotions. I have just started a new job and won’t likely be able to use it any time soon, will give it away to anyone who wants it.
The voucher is for any of contiki’s land tours and only valid through bookings in Singapore.
Posted this here as no idea where else on the forum to post. =)

I’m considering going on a tour to Europe in their winter (Dec-Jan).
Have you been on a winter tour?
My concern is that some things that I want to see will be closed during winter, or that the weather might take away from the experience a bit.
What did you think?

Hey, so I’m moving to the UK, gonna work in a pub somewhere, haven’t found out yet…
I’m gonna be in London for a week before I do the Oktoberfest 5 day tour, obv since I’m moving there, I’m gonna have my laptop and other valubles that are necessary. Does contiki have lockers or something in London where I can leave my important stuff?

I have read alot of people saying how big the lines are for certain attractions and waits for up to 5 hours.
I thought for everyones help perhaps you could post a list of places through out europe of attractions you need to pre book or obtain tickets before showing up to avoid those long lines. Thanks.

I have English parents so have the option of working after my tour. I have finally decided that rather than go in my uni break in 2007 that I am going to finish my degree (Nov 07) and head to UK at the beginning of 08 (I know Im prob asking for advice very early). Im planning to stay with family in various areas of England before going on Europe/Egypt tour in April. Im going to get an open ticket so will have no plans on when to come home. Anyway my question is, has anybody stayed in London to work after their tour? Is it affordable to rent somewhere in London, and are there many options? Thankyou

I am planning to either do a 21 or a 32 camping tour around Europe next summer. I am just not sure which countries require a visa for myself ans which do not?
Also, I have noticed on these forums that there is a general consensus that Auzzies and Americans hate us Brits??

My wife and I are going to take a trip either in Feb. 2007 on the Winter Wanderer tour or in March 2007 on the European Vista tour. I would like to get some feedback on either one of these tours. Also I would like to get in contact with other people that are going the same time I am.
