Hey everyone, I’m a Canadian doing the European Contrasts tour in June and wasn’t sure if I needed a travel VISA. I thought a Canadian passport was good enough but my travel agent said I needed a VISA, but she seemed kind of confused. Thanks!

I saw these on the internet, and thought it looked really cool!
Has anybody heard of or used these before?
Is there anything similar to this that might be better to use?
Here is their website: http://www.gocartours.com/
Just asking because I have seen some really good reviews and also some really bad ones!

Is anyone planning on going on this trip at this date?
I will be turning 18 a couple weeks before the trip, so that shouldn’t be a problem right?
Also, if anyone has been on this particular trip, did you stay with your group the whole time, or did you venture off and come back to the group later?
This is going to be my first huge (well-deserved) trip out of the good old United States, so I just want to make sure I learn everything before I make the comittment.

Hi guys! Look I’m going to put my hand up & admit to being sh#@ scared about being robbed or mugged in Europe. Yes, I’ve bought one of those money wallet thingys you wear around your neck, but I keep having people tell me horror stories about gypsys and gangs of pick-pockets. Should I be shaking in my very expensive new gucci knee-high boots every time I get my camera out to take a photo in case I’m about to be knocked to the ground & robbed? How bad is it?

I’mjust wondering approximately what time the tour ends on the last day. I know if says “after breakfast” but does anyone know what time that is roughly?
i’m wondering if I have enough time to get to my next hotel and then to the Vatican by 10:15 or so, for a guided tour at 10:30.
Does anyone know how long the underground ride from Termini to Vatican station takes?
thanks!

Hello there!
I was wonderinf if anyone can help me out! I am a 25 yr old female, travelling solo, who does not drink. I am really into sightseeing and normally on my vacations, I sightsee all day long and then head to bed at like 10pm for an early morning of sightseeing again.
I was wondering if Contiki tours are not really a good option for me? I have heard mixed reviews re: these tours. Some people say that everyone drinks and parties every night and do not even sightsee because they are hung over and sleep during the day…is this true?
Also, has anyone ever been on a GAP or Intrepid tour?
Thanks! ![]()

I just came back from 20 day concept and I loved loved loved contiki! I felt as though 20 days wasn’t enough so I’m looking to do the BIG one.
Camping for 46 days does put me off as it was hard enough getting out of bed and onto the bus on my recent 20 day tour let alone packing up a tent too! Or 45 concept which doesn’t visit as many countries as the 46 day but atleast I don’t have to pack up a tent as well as myself?
Has anyone done any of these and can anyone give any advice?
Cheers

Heya,
I’ve noticed on the Ski Austria tour page it doesn’t list the option to overnight coach it there from London.
Is this still available or will we have to work out our own way?
Thanks

Hi everyone,
This might sound stupid but I’ve never been overseas before nd will have some long international flights before & after my tour so I was thinking of buying a Nintendo DS or something like that to keep me amused on the plane. I’m just not sure if something like that would interfere with the electrical system etc on a plane nd therefore not be allowed? I’ve checked the Qantas website but it doesnt really say…it only says about laptops. If anyone has advice on this, that would be gr8.
Thanks!

I really want to do both tours after each other (with about 3 days between in NY). I thought I would have a 3 month break that I would be able to travel through USA.
However, I just found out I have a 1.5 month break, something I have to be in NZ for, and then another 1.5 month break. I would be able to get both tours, but I would get back to NZ on the day of state exams, having no study done, and if planes delayed etc. it would not be good!
Would people recommend GS or GN. I was soooo looking forward to doing both, but just don’t have the money to fly to USA back to NZ, back to USA then back to NZ within 3 months, lol.
Just wanted to know everyones thoughts!!!
Thanks
