Cookie Policy

1. Cookie notice

What are Cookies?
A ‘cookie’ is a small piece of data sent from a website and stored on the user’s computer by the user’s web browser while the user is browsing. When you visit a site that uses cookies for the first time, a cookie is downloaded onto your computer/mobile device so that the next time you visit that site, your device will remember useful information such as items added in the shopping cart, visited pages or logging in options. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, and our site relies on cookies to optimize user experience and for features and services to function properly.

What Cookies do we use?
There are different types of cookies. They all work in the same way, but have minor differences and we may use the following:
Enhance our website’s functionality

Cookies allow us to enhance the functionality of our website so that we can personalise your experience and allow you to use many of the useful features of our website. These cookies are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of the website.

For example, we use cookies so we can remember your preferences and the contents of your shopping basket when you return to our website. We also need cookies to track your journey on our website and when you leave our website for a partner’s website so that we ensure we can manage our partnerships and customer base efficiently.

2. Enhance our website’s performance
This type of cookies helps us understand how our websites are being used, mainly for analytical purposes, so that we can work on providing an improved user experience. Cookies used for this purpose do not collect information that identifies a user, but the data is aggregated and made anonymous.

For example, data on error messages displayed to users will be collected and the developer team will assess whether the problem is prevalent and solve it.

3. Web beacons and parameter tracking
These cookies and similar software known as web beacons are used to count the number of users visiting our website, or the number of actions made by the users.

4. Internet Protocol (IP) address and traffic data
A set of data such as IP addresses, access rates, and page views are recorded in our servers. These data do not allow us to identify any individual, i.e. no personal data is collected.

We might also use techniques such as pixels, which we don’t refer to as cookies because they don’t store information on your device. A pixel is an electronic file embedded into an email which allows us to see if the message was delivered, if and when you read it, and what you clicked on. We sometimes place these in marketing emails and newsletters. We use similar technology to get the same information about push notifications we send you.

5. Necessary Cookies
Essential cookies enable core functionality such as the online shopping basket. Our website function properly without these cookies. We may place these cookies without your consent.

We also use essential cookies for security, network management, accessibility and to help webpage to load quickly. They help us to keep track of what you are booking as you move through each stage of the booking process. Without them the online booking process cannot take place.

To deliver relevant online advertising and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing communications, including online advertising

We sometimes use tracking pixels that set cookies to assist with our marketing and delivery of online advertising.

Cookies are widely used in online advertising. We and our advertising partners can’t gain personally identifiable information from these cookies.

By better understanding what our audiences are interested in, we can more efficiently promote our products and services. For example, if you have looked at certain pages on our website we might want to highlight or give information about a particular service or product to you.

The technology to do this is made possible by cookies and as such we may place a ‘remarketing cookie’ during your visit. We are unable to proactively reach out to you personally as the process is anonymized, but you can opt out of these cookies at any time. By not accepting these cookies, you may continue to see adverts on our website and on other organisations’ websites. The adverts you see will not be personalised or based on information from your past online behaviour, purchase history or the content of your shopping basket.
