What is the Contiki Rep Program and how does it work?

It’s like an ambassador and affiliate program had a baby! Yes, we said that. The Rep program allows travel impassioned individuals to earn a commission on bookings referred to Contiki through trackable links. When a referred customer comes to our site and books a trip, we pay you a commission on the sale. PLUS – its more than just an affiliate program based on the unique collaboration opportunities, discounted trips & perks.

What's the difference between Affiliates and Rep?

Affiliates are mostly entities comprised of multiple individuals that promote products or services at scale. They earn commission generated through their marketing efforts such as paid advertising, email marketing, coupon websites etc.

Contiki Reps are mostly individuals that collaborate and promote brands through their social media channels, such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, websites & personal blogs. A unique link or promocode is provided in order for the individual to earn commission on the generated sales.

Where can I post my trackable link?

Your trackable link will be provided to you so you can utilise based on your current promotional channels. This link can be embedded into a text, image, caption, “link in bio” or added on your personal blog.

Are there any fees?

Nope! It is completely free to participate in the Contiki Rep Program.

What is your commission rate?

We have three commission tiers of 5%, 7.5% and 10% which are based on the number of people you've gotten to book* a trip. Commission is offered on the price of the tour package*.

What is your cookie policy?

30 days. If a visitor comes to our websites from your website or social channels but does not book a trip, you can still earn commission on sales from that traveller if they return and make a purchase within 30 days (using the same browser from the computer or system). This works even if they navigate directly to the website on a return visit as long as they haven't blocked or deleted their cookies. If a traveller books a trip, but has visited the Contiki website via more than one Rep’s link within the last 30 days, the sale will be attributed to the link most recently clicked.

Do I earn commission if someone clicks on a specific trip on my site but then buys a different trip?

Yes, you will receive credit for any trip that is purchased by a traveller who clicks on your Rep link and books a trip through that link. The exception to this is if the traveller books a trip outside the 30-day cookie period or subsequently clicks a link established by another Rep within the 30-day cookie period.

Is there a minimum payment threshold?

Nope! Commissions will be paid no matter what the payment size is.

When is commission paid out?

Commissions which have accrued (i.e. once a booking has been paid in full) are paid by the 20th of the next month. For example, if a booking is paid in full on 31 January, the commission will be paid by 20 February.

Through what platform will I get content?

Through our trusted affiliate partner website that will be provided to you upon application approval.

Do I get credit if my network books over the phone?

The software we use is primarily able to track purchases online through your affiliate link and on case-by-case basis, we may offer a promocode for this that may be able to track as well. After purchasing, your network is more than welcome to reach out to our Contact Centre with any questions about their trip.

Do I have to be aged between 18-35 to apply?

Yes, Contiki Reps need to be aged between 18-35 to apply, and approved Reps will be removed from the Rep Program after the day before they turn 36.

Do I have to reside in Australia/New Zealand to apply?

We are accepting Reps from Australia, New Zealand, the USA, and Canada. Please apply via the relevant region’s webpage as different terms and conditions apply.
