Visit Porto, Lisbon, Santa Cruz & Aveiro
From the luscious shores of Lisbon through Porto, the ‘mini-Venice’, Aveiro and all the way to the sun-soaked, golden beached Algarve, this trip dives deep into Portugal’s unique beauty and charm.
Peniche | Day 4 to 5
Portugal’s west coast is one of the best spots in Europe to find perfect surfing conditions for all abilities, and has so many golden beaches that overcrowding never becomes a problem. Take a surfing class and you’ll be using the best gear on the market while being trained up by instructors with more than 15 years of experience, so no matter your skill level, you’ll be mastering the waves in no time.
If want to hit the waves in a different way, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, or SUP might be for you. It’s just you, your big board and an oar, and as well as being an incredible core strength workout, it’s a fun and unique way to explore the Atlantic from an upright perspective.

Lisbon | Day 1
Let your taste buds be your tour guides on this unforgettable foodie walking tour. Starting in Lisbon’s iconic markets, you’ll sample Portugal’s culinary delights, from sardines to alheira sausages, all washed down with local lager. Then, it’s time for desert: the sweet, flaky deliciousness of a Portuguese custard tart. This is the perfect way to get a taste of Portuguese culture while uncovering its capital’s rich history.
Porto | Day 3
Born and raised in Porto, Joana has a passionate love of homemade Portuguese food. Starting with a bit of history about Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese custard tarts), which were first created by Catholic monks in the 18th century, she’ll then teach you how to make your own Pasteis de Nata from scratch before you get to enjoy your flaky creations and a drink with your host.
Porto | Day 3
This immersive dining experience brings you into the beautiful riverside home of Helder, a Porto native who will serve you course after course of fresh Portuguese food prepared with local ingredients. Alongside your soups, sardine pie and homemade bread, you’ll enjoy refreshing port spritzes, and finish things up with a dessert of ice cream and warm peaches picked straight from the garden.

Cascais, Lisbon | Day 8
This fascinating tour showcases the culture of a historically dangerous neighbourhood in Cascais, Lisbon. Your local guides knew the perceptions of the place were all wrong, so they created an urban art gallery unlike anywhere in the world.
Porto | Day 3
Porto is a stunning city to cycle around. Unfortunately, it’s pretty hilly, too. This E-bike tour has the solution, allowing you to breeze through Porto’s iconic sites with the help of a hill-conquering engine when you need that extra push (it’s not cheating if you pretend to pedal and put on your most determined face).

Aveiro | Day 4
Situated on the cusp of Portugal’s huge system of lagoons, Aveiro is a colourful and seriously underrated ‘mini-venice.’ And like Venice, it’s mazy canals are best explored by boat. No, not gondolas - these are called moliceiros, and though they were originally used for harvesting seaweed, they now exist so you can glide through the city in style.
