I can't speak for the other Contiki trip locations, but my Vietnam trip was AMAZING. I have been wanting to travel to Vietnam forever and could not find anyone interested in going, thats when I googled and found Contiki. They made traveling solo a breeze. I really enjoyed the schedule they had set up, although a little hectic at times (it packs a bunch of activities in a small amount of time) you can choose not to participate in some of the activities. I'd recommend taking Hue off the list and adding an extra day in Hanoi or Hoi Ann, or a day trip to Dha Nang instead to see the hands sculpture int he sky! The boat cruise in Nha Trang was a blast, don't miss it! I was able to meet a ton of great people that I can contact whenever I pop up in their section of the world. My only suggestion is to make sure that they have more activities to get everyone in the group talking to each other, sometimes as a solo traveler it can be hard to meet others. My group was so awesome and kind, we didn't really have those issues. All in all I'd def do another Contiki trip to Asia. If your on the fence, just do it, promise you won't regret it :)

Chamani was an awesome tour manager! She recommended so much stuff to do with our free time and how to get to those places! We had amazing weather! the 3 in country flights were totally worth it and saved so much time! I traveled with a friend but still made lifelong friends! Love Contiki!

Dear Sir/Madam, On the 22nd of April both me and my partner started what we thought was going to be one of the best trips of our life's as this was our last trip for a few years as we are saving to buy a house. Vietnam highlights was highly recommended to us by STA travel in blue water, we advised our sale consultant we wanted to do beach trips we wanted Island hopping we wanted to lay by the pool but experience Vietnam, we wanted to visit rice fields. The whole 13 days we were in Vietnam we visited 2 beaches, one was in the evening to have dinner and the other was for an hour to a man made beach and the sun had gone down. We also only had 2 hotels that has pools, one of those days we were out with the tour so couldn't even lay by the pool and relax. Not at one point I told our sales consultant we wanted to spend our entire trip looking at temples and war museums. I am 23 years of age and I am certainly not interested in sitting in temples or war museums what felt like our whole trip. On several occasions throughout my holiday I just wanted to go home and thought to myself ( I would rather be at work ) when we met our tour group, a good 70% had already been on the same tour for over 3 weeks, so both me and my partner felt like out casts the whole trip as everyone else had already mingled and had there set groups. we also found out somebody else from out tour got a direct flight ( what we asked for ) for 12 hours - we had to fly 14 hours to hongkong then from hong kong to Vietnam was a further 2 and half hours - that's without stop over time ! this must of been cheaper for sta to do so they could earn more commission out of us. In nearly every hotel room we had two tiny single beds and slept separately the whole holiday apart from 2 hotels maybe - we then found out most of our group got upgraded to nicer rooms and king size beds and they didn't even have partners they come on the trip by them selves. the first hotel we arrived at was absolutely disgusting and had a real bad smell that most my clothes smelt of by the end of the trip ( I wouldn't even call it a holiday because it wasn't enjoyable ! ). we skipped breakfast most mornings because breakfast was that terrible and gave up bellyaches every morning ! we were also never told we was to take 3 internal flights throughout the holiday not to mention the 2 we had already taken to get to Vietnam ! ( we had to check out one morning at 3.45 am to catch one of the flights ! totally unacceptable and not how we hoped we would spend our HOLIDAY ! we also were not informed we had to pay a further £120 for excursions we thought would of been included in our PACKAGE HOLIDAY * we already paid over £3000 for a 10 day trip ! and when we did the excursions our kayaking boat sunk due to a whole in it and it was a half hour experience. so we got given a second boat what did exactly the same thing! one of the only hotels that had a pool we were given we got woken up at 6am in the morning my screaming locals in the pool ! there was supposed to be no pool access until 7.30 ! we were also told most of our meals were included - I think 4 of our meals were included in the whole trip this excluding breakfast ! meaning we spent most of our spending money on food and drinks ! when we went out with our contiki group for a group dinner we had to pay for the menus were double the price of normal restaurants around us! we were told our we had insurance cover - later did I discover we did not ! and had to purchase out own at further cost ! In total conclusion, this trip was a complete disappointment and not what we asked for we paid well over the odd's for a holiday we could of planned ourselves for half the price just so we didn't have the stress, and infact we were stressed the whole trip. this was supposed to be a trip of a life time and this was far from what it was! I will not recommend sta travel to friends and family and I certainly will not be using them again ! aswell as contiki We will be awaiting your quick response. yours sincerely Charlotte Lee and Wayne newton

I think this trip is more meant for people under 25s, since they focus more in drinking and partying more than actually seeing the places. Also we had to pay extra for all the activities. The tour pretty much just includes transportation and hotels, but all the good stuff were extra. The tour guide was nice but not too informative. Everytime we asked something, the answer was look at "the sheet" as he was annoyed by our questions. I think if I was on my 20's and my parents paying for my trip, I would have enjoyed more. But since I am on my 30s and pay for my own stuff, I think the value was too much from what we got.

I really enjoyed my Contiki trip. Overall 5 stars, I just wish we could have gone to a few more local style restaurants opposed to more expensive restaurants.

Vietnam can be really overwhelming and this trip really helped us find our feet in Vietnam. It's good value fro money, in the sense that you stay at really nice hotels, all your transportaion is included (including flights) The me-time extras were all really great. My only suggestion would be that they also tell you what else there is to do in a city if you are not interested in doing the additional me-time options. The trip is very focussed on the party lifestyle and seeing the cities - Contiki showed us amazing restuarants and beach parties to go to (places we wouldn't have found on our own). The boat cruise in NaTrang also had an amazing vibe. THe Halong Bay overnight cruise that they organized was also really amazing - we felt extremely fancy! If like us you are more of the adventure and nature type - i would however suggest that you add an additional week or two to your trip in vietnam so that you can explore the country side and mountains a bit more. We added Ninh Binh and Sapa to our trip and it was two of our favourite places.
