Grab your boardies and sunnies and get ready to live your best Aussie life as you sail between paradise islands, toast an Uluru sunset, climb the Sydney harbour bridge and dive deep into the Great Barrier Reef. Australia is the adventure of a lifetime.
On our Australian trips you can expect modern and funky multishare hostels, (think spacious rooms, max 6 people), and eco-friendly Special Stays, nestled in nature. The places you’ll stay in Australia are perfectly located, so when you’re not close to a city centre, you’re lounging on a beach in Bondi or sleeping in the heart of the Everglades.
Our small group adventures down under will have you feeling like a true blue Aussie. From surf lessons to breakfasting with koalas, our cultural, local, wellness, foodie and conscious experiences ensure there’s always something for everyone. We include lots (more than most) and have a menu of optional Free Time Add-Ons for you to choose from to create your perfect Australian adventure.
The guys who pull it all together - our crew. Undeniably the best in the business, our Trip Managers and Guides are all highly trained, smart and fun Aussie locals, and they’re here to help you discover the best bits of their backyard.
Contiki Cares is our commitment to protecting the communities and wildlife we interact with, as well as the planet we share. In Australia, our conscious travel initiatives include indigenous craft experiences, cleaning plastic from Bondi Beach and dropping by a turtle hospital in the Great Barrier Reef. It’s all part of our pledge to make travel matter.
All our trips down under are small groups: 10 - 30 people max. You’ll be travelling with a group of adventurers from all over the world, but more intimate group sizes allow you to go local, leaving no stone unturned as you get up close and personal with the land down under.
Australia is big. Like really, seriously big. So we don’t waste time getting you around the country. We whisk you - and your luggage - from door to door in comfort and style. We’ll take scenic trains, comfy coaches, & speedy internal flights to make the most of our time on the ground (or in the water).
"We didn't know where to begin with planning a trip to Australia but we knew we wanted to see a bit of the coast. From exploring the Opera House to learning to surf, it was a dream! I've always wanted to get up close to koalas and kangaroos so those have been checked off my bucket list."
