How do I know which Contiki trip is right for me?

How do I book a trip?

Our website and search function will show you all the different regions we explore, and from here you can filter by type of trip, length of trip, price and so on. Prefer to chat it through? Contact our Reservations team (we’re open 24/7) and we can book your trip over the phone or via webchat.

Contiki has since become a rite of passage in New Zealand and Australia, and you’ll still hear ‘going on a Contiki’ as synonymous with going on an overseas adventure.

Can I book more than one Contiki trip at a time?

Absolutely. Why limit yourself, right? In fact, once you’ve booked your first trip, you’ll get a discount on the next one.

Please note: if you’re booking online, you’ll need to purchase your trips separately, one after the other.

What is Contiki’s cancelation policy?

Plans change, we get it. And sometimes there’s nothing you can do about it. That’s why we created our Flexibility Promise – to help you buy with confidence.

If you cancel your booking more than 60 days before departure, you can get your money back in full excluding the deposit. You can put your deposit towards any other Contiki trip or on a trip with our sister brands too.

If you need to cancel less than 60 days before departure, you’ll be subject to cancelation penalties which differ between trips and are fully detailed in the booking conditions.

Do I have to pay for my Contiki trip all at once when I book?

If you’re booking more than 60 days before your departure date, you can choose to pay upfront, pay in flexible instalments as often as you like, or set up an automatic monthly/biweekly payment plan.

All you need to pay at the time of booking is your flexible deposit. Learn more about our ways to pay.

If your departure is less than 60 days away at the time of booking, you’ll need to pay the full amount upfront.

How much is the deposit for a Contiki trip?

You can lock in any Contiki trip with the same low deposit of $200!

How do I make payments toward my Contiki trip?

If you choose to pay manually, in multiple installments, you can make your payments by logging in to the My Contiki Travel Portal.

You can also pay over the phone if you’d prefer.

Can multiple people make payments onto the same Contiki trip booking?

Multiple people can make a payment on a booking, but only if they are traveling on the trip and their name appears on the booking.

However, anyone who is not on the booking can also make a payment via the My Contiki Travel Portal once you’ve registered and logged in. For example, if your parents want to pay for some of your trip, this can be easily organised once you’ve booked your spot.

Okay. I’ve booked my Contiki trip, now what?

Once your booking has been confirmed, it’s important to provide us with all required details before you travel, and you can do this via the My Contiki Travel Portal.

Just head to www.contiki.com and click on the profile icon on the top right hand side to log in or sign up. Here, you can also amend your booking details and access trip itineraries.

You’ll also need to make sure your trip is paid off in full no less than 60 days prior to departure. Necessary documents for your trip will then be shared with you around 21 days before departure via the My Contiki Travel Portal – this includes vouchers, airline tickets (if purchased through Contiki), and a day-to-day itinerary including information about the Free Time Add-Ons available on your trip.

Please make sure you read the documents and complete any necessary declarations before your trip.

What do I need to get onto my Contiki trip?

On arrival, you’ll need to provide your Trip Manager or Contiki Host with your booking confirmation, travel insurance details, passport details (if traveling internationally) and emergency contact info. 

You’ll also need your passport and proof of having purchased a visa (if necessary).

When will I receive my Contiki trip documentation?

You’ll receive all the documents you need once you’ve logged in to the My Contiki Travel Portal and created & completed. This is easy to do and only takes a few minutes. Your Trip Manager will also reach out before your trip begins.

Can I book out a whole Contiki trip?

Yes, you can take over and book out an entire Contiki trip! You just need to have the minimum amount of people traveling together on the same itinerary, booking at the same time. Please chat to us prior to booking to discuss the best options for booking out a whole trip.

Can you do custom Contiki trips?

Absolutely! As a team of travel experts, we can create custom trips to include new destinations, activities and itineraries. For your custom trip to go ahead though, we’d need a minimum number of people who are all traveling together and all booking at the same time.
