Pros: you get to wake up in a new city every single day, me time optionals are worth it, local guides are knowledgeable and the contiki coach is pretty comfy. Most hotels were also comfy, except the one in rome.
Cons: trip feels too short since you arrive at each city in the afternoons and so you aren't even there for a whole day. Also, our trip manager told us the first night we would not be going to the vatican since there wouldn't be enough time to go see Florence. Not only was I really looking forward to seeing the Vatican and was disappointed when they cut that out of the itinerary, it was also a complete bummer that the manager planned our arrival in Florence on a Monday which happened to be a day of the week where everything is closed - so the decision to cut out the Vatican accomplished nothing it seemed. In addition, I had booked with a couple of friends for a triple share room. We arrived in Slovenia only to find out that the hotel could not accomodate that - there were three triple share groups on our trip and ours was the one they could not accomodate. It was fine to adjust for that one night but again, poorly managed on contiki's part since they get all of this info weeks in advance of the trip. All in all, the trip could have been managed way better!
