Having hosted groups for more than 5 years, Nic knows exactly how to make the most of your weekend and find the perfect balance between adventure and chill. He’s also a bit of a history nerd, so feel free to ask him any questions you might have about London. Alongside Nic, you’ll meet a host of Locals along the way, who will show you how to Eat, Drink and Explore their city on your Mini Break.
Welcome to the city of iconic attractions and secret spots - starting with the Qbic hotel, our London pad. This eco-friendly, solar-powered East London hotel is a mellow oasis at the heart of London’s most lively square mile. Inside you’ll find insanely comfy beds, rainfall showers, free tea & coffee and free Wi-Fi, with some of the city’s best street food, art galleries, boutiques, creative businesses and nightlife on your doorstep.
Once you’ve checked in it’s straight into London life. First we’ll get to know each other with a foodie walking tour exploring London's oldest market - Borough Market, in Southwark. But don’t let this 1,000 year old building fool you - the market is a testament to this global city, brimming with street food spanning from traditional British produce to regional specialties from around the world – and you’ll get to sample some of those local treats on us, as part of the experience. Once we’ve explored the market and the quaint cobbled streets and shops of the surrounding area, we’ll head to Flat Iron Square, another trendy food market, for an included dinner with epic views across London Bridge.
In the afternoon we’ll meet up in urban East London and go for a guided walk around Shoreditch – home of Banksy street art and hipster record slash coffee joints – and your trip host will show you the local hang outs. We’ll also head down Brick Lane, where independent shops, vintage fashion and flea markets surround you. Then it’s time to immerse your senses into an Eating Europe East End London afternoon food tour. After we’ve eaten everything on offer we’ll head to the edgy Flight Club, where included entrance will give us access to unlimited darts for 2 hours. With drink in hand, we’ll see where the night takes us.
Now we’ve ticked off some South and East London musts, it’s time to see what the West End has to offer. And where better to go then Covent Garden and Soho? Al Fresco entertainment, a Royal Opera house, the iconic Pineapple Studios, the Seven Dials junction, boutique coffee shops galore and endless theatres are just some of the things that make Covent Garden so iconic. First we’ll make the most of an included brunch (with the option for a boozy brunch) at a local spot, then you can spend the day exploring the sights of London’s cultural heart. We’ll top it off by spending the evening at a Soho speakeasy cocktail bar, with an included cocktail to get the night started.
