1. ÉDENI VEGÁN
Located a few streets from Fisherman’s Bastion, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes from scrambled tofu to buckwheat tortilla and cinnamon rice pudding. With excellent service, it has everything you need for a satisfying and delicious brunch with your pals!
What to order: The tortilla casserole
Address: Budapest, Iskola u. 31, 1011 Hungary
2. NAPFÉNYES
Despite the somewhat strange and difficult to remember name, this restaurant turned out to be an absolute gold find. The all-vegan menu offers a wide selection of traditional Hungarian food as well as various vegan dishes. We ordered the grill plate for two and barely managed to eat it all! Tofu, breaded ‘cheese’, seitan steaks, steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, rice with peas and two delicious dips gave us a unique culinary experience!
What to order: The vegan ice cream is divine, too
Address: Budapest, Ferenciek tere 2, 1053 Hungary

3. VEGAZZI NÁPOLYI
This edgy stall in a quirky courtyard is home to vegan pizza with wonderfully fluffy dough. Plus, you can tailor your pizza to your taste and add any ingredients of your choice! INSIDER TIP: I deliberately order my pizza without oil as it can come slightly on the oily side.
What to order: Pizza Verde
Address: Budapest, Paulay Ede u. 33, 1061 Hungary

4. SLOW FOODIEZ
If you’re looking to strip it back and indulge in something raw, then Slow Foodies is the place for you. The café offers a variety of weekly offers and the portions are decent. The green smoothie bowl tastes like a delicious dessert. It’s definitely one of the best vegan restaurants in Budapest.
What to order: The raw apple crepes with an almond-marzipan filling, delish
Address: Budapest, Szondi u. 11, 1067 Hungary
5. ANJUNA ICE POPS
During my warmer days in Budapest, cooling down with an extremely delicious chocolate-covered nut-sprinkled Ice Pop was much-needed. Also, the acai bowls and the homemade granola used as a topping taste great. PLUS, the bowls are made of compostable materials.
What to order: Add a hazelnut mocha to your order and you won’t regret it
Address: Budapest, Pozsonyi út 5, 1137 Hungary
