Gasthof Schoneck is decked out Contiki owned accommodation which ticks all the boxes; think bikes, a sauna, a communal bar and more. It’s pretty much the perfect place to après after a busy day on the slopes, or of course you could stop at one of the many bars on the mountain for a well deserved hot choccy/gluhwein/ice cold beer. Either way, Contiki Austria trips will have you bonding with your Contiki family in no time.
How do you keep fuelled for long days on the slopes? Classic Austrian food of course, and in Hopfgarten it’s home comforts all the way. If you love skiing, adventure and classic Austrian everything, Hopfgarten is the little corner of the world made especially for you...
This prestigious festival really is the crème de la crème of concerts. Set in one of Austria’s most beautiful open air settings, the inner courtyard of the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Innsbruck, it’s now in its 24th year of running, and is regarded as one of Europe’s most magical brass music festivals.
If you’re after a cosy day away from the slopes in winter, or somewhere to catch some shade in the summer months, these museums may well be your answer. Hopfgarten and the surrounding areas have everything from panoramic paintings, heritage, arts, history and even a mint (coin production) museum.
Need one good reason to visit this museum? Amongst its collection is boasts the Innsbruck Giant Panorama Painting. Based in, you guessed it, Innsbruck, the museum was once the location where local troops battled Napoleonic forces. Today, the museum is famous for its 360° painting covering more than 1000 square metres, depicting victory of the Tirolean freedom fighters.
