Sir Paul McCartney Stopped His Show So A Contiki Couple Could Get Engaged

True love exists and you might just find it on Contiki. Sir Paul McCartney, AKA ¼ of the legendary band The Beatles, stopped his first Australian show to help a Contiki couple get engaged!

Martin spent the night watching Paul belt out hit after hit while patiently holding a sign that read: ‘Can I Propose To My Love On Stage?’. Paul saw it and welcomed him and his girlfriend Saya on stage to pop the question.

The magical moment was captured by hundreds of fans who listened to Martin explain how he’d first sat next to Saya on a Contiki trip 10 years ago and knew proposing at Paul’s show was the perfect moment. “We met ten years ago on a Contiki tour in England, and I thought at the end of the tour ‘She listens to a lot of The Beatles”, Martin explained, before getting on one knee to say, “I know now that I have the world’s biggest Beatles fan, and it would do me an honour, Saya, if you would take my hand in marriage. Will you marry me?”

Naturally Saya said yes and the crowd cheered and clapped along with Paul (who gave them a hug and signed jacket coz #rockstarsrock). You can watch the video yourself below ?

Congratulations to the happy couple! We can recommend you both a really good Contiki trip for a honeymoon
