The best beaches in Belize you have to visit this year

Belize may be small but it’s full to the brim with adventure, culture and tropical tranquilness. The Caribbean Sea, turquoise shores and colourful coral reef make this a snorkelers/divers paradise.

And the beaches? Well, they just unbelizeable (sorry, we couldn’t resist). So without any further ado, here are the best beaches in Belize you must visit on your next trip.

Belize may well be one of the most instagram worthy beach destinations on the planet. Situated just south of Mexico’s popular Yucatan Peninsula, this tropical paradise is just a short plane ride away from the USA.

With 240 miles of coastline and more than 450 islands, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding the best spot for the ultimate Belize beach day.

But with so much golden white sand to choose from, where are the best beach spots?

The Split

Caye Caulker island is home to The Split, a narrow beach where you can expect fun reggae music, bars and some of the island’s best swimming spots.

Placencia

This beach resort in Southern Belize is all about laid-back vibes, great food and beachfront hangouts.

Turneffe Atoll

If you’re looking for a 30 mile long beac, and turquoise seas brimming with coral, fish and large rays this is where it’s at. An ideal spot for snorkelers, divers and of course beach lovers.

Hopkins

This Belize beach is made for laid back retreats.  Stretching 1.5 miles along the coast, Hopkins beach may be a little more rough around the edges but it’s tranquil charm and chilled vibes are indisputable.
