If you weren’t already excited enough for GOT’s long awaited return to our screens, you might want to hold onto your dragon because the ultimate Game of Thrones themed pop-up bar is about to hit Washington DC, and it sounds like the best one yet.
The Drink Company and Ommegang Brewery are launching a themed pub, appropriately named the Game of Thrones Pub, that is much more than just puntastic cocktails (of which, fear not, there are many) because it will also be an amazing interactive experience straight out of Westeros.
There will be rooms designed around key locations such as the Red Keep, the North and Mereen, and maybe most excitingly, the House of Black and White with plaster faces on the walls of pub employees, and the owners friends and family.
Drinks will include enough wine to satisfy a Lannister, a bespoke beer called ‘Bend the Knee’ and character inspired mixes like the ‘Dothraquiri’, named after Daenerys’ Dothraki kinsmen.

While intense discussions about the show (and whether winter is in fact coming) are welcomed, the venue will be closed on Sunday nights when Game of Thrones returns to screens, because obviously the owners want to watch it and encourage others too as well!
The Game of Thrones Pub will officially open June 21.
