Grab your tonic and limes (or cucumbers and elderflower cordial if you faaancy) – London is getting its very own gin festival! And unlike those lame sort of festivals that go for a mere 12 hours, this baby is going to last FOUR days!
Some might argue that gin is the favourite tipple of the UK. In fact, we know it is since in 2009 they established their very own national holiday for it: World Gin Day. This year to celebrate, DrinkUp.London is making it bigger and better than ever and taking over the city to show off gin.
Starting June 7 and running until June 10, over 75 bars across London will be dishing out bespoke gin cocktails. If you register as a festival-goer, you’ll snap these up for a measly SIX POUNDS!
The festival isn’t just about drinking the very ~now~ spirit (but seriously, gin is having a moment right?). There will also be pop-up shops, parties and guided walking tours (presumably showing famous gin related sights?).
