Aspen the 4 year old golden retriever lives the outdoor life of dreams. Hailing from Colorado, Aspen is no stranger to envy inducing camping trips to the Rocky Mountains and beyond alongside his human parents Hunter & Sarah. His Instagram has racked up an impressive 173,000 followers to date, and with his majestically serious face and penchant for human clothing, it’s not hard to see the appeal of this adventurous pooch.

Amelia the Tropicat
Most cats tend to be terrified of water, but for Amelia the Tropicat, the ocean is a home from home. Amelia belongs to Captain Liz Clark, a self-proclaimed she-pirate who has been sailing around the world on her boat Swell since 2006. Named after one of the greatest female adventurers of all time, Amelia Earhart, Amelia is the first mate Liz never knew she needed. Whilst not a massive fan of the water, Amelia has learnt to adapt, and is now a fishing and swimming pro. She also spends her days roaming the beaches of Latin America, hiking mountains and generally hanging out with Captain Liz being a bad ass cat explorer. Jealous much?

Maddie the coonhound
If for any reason you’re on the fence about this whole travelling with your pets thing, Maddie will change your mind. Just look at that face. Belonging to Theron Humphrey, a critically acclaimed photographer and previous National Geographic Traveller of the Year winner, Maddie has travelled to all 50 US states as the focus of a very specific photography project titled “Maddie on Things: A Super Serious Book About Dogs and Physics.” Yes that’s right, Maddie can balance on literally ANYTHING – basketball hoops, shoulders, bicycle baskets – you name it, she balances in it. A previous rescue dog, the pair are also working on a documentary called ‘Why We Rescue’, which features stories about how rescue animals have transformed their owners lives. Too much cuteness.

Loki the Wolfdog
Husky’s are complex dogs, but if you treat them right and love them infinitely, you’ll never find a better breed. Casing point Loki the wolf dog, a husky/arctic wolf mix who spends his days hiking mountains and playing in snow drifts with his owner Kelly Lund. The pair are forever embarking on outdoor adventures and backcountry snowboarding expeditions across Colorado and beyond, and together have travelled to most of Western USA. But perhaps most adorable of all is their mission, ‘to inspire people to explore their world and make memories with their dogs’.
