New ways to see the world with Contiki: 15 of our new trips from 2024!

As if you couldn’t get enough of us already, there’s even more Contiki to get to know and fall in love with! We’ve been busy recently bringing not only 1 or 2 new trips to life, but 50 in the last 18 months! From whole new destinations and itineraries to new unique travel styles, detour trips and additions to tack onto your previously booked adventures, it’s your turn to get busy and see the world.

50 new trips is a lot to cover, so we’ve picked 15 of our most unique ones from 2024 for you to learn a little more about (though if you want to get to know the whole roster you can do so here). Make a shortlist of your favourites, get your friends together, and then set off! You’re welcome.

1. Philippines Island Hoppers

Whether it’s East, West, or Ultimate, the Philippines Island Hopper trips will deliver your wildest holiday dreams. Kayaking along crystal waters, lulled to sleep by the salty breeze in beach huts, and gorging yourself on the freshest most syrupy fruits. This is only a taste of the pure paradise you’ll be getting in the Philippines. 

2. France in a Week

Bringing you history, elegance, good food, and a touch of luxury, France in a Week is a cultural ride through Normandy, Reims, Orleans, and Paris. Visit the D-Day beaches and then sip real champagne. Prance around the more than regal grounds of the Château de Chambord, and return home feeling like a gilded monarch. 4. China Adventure

The return of a Contiki titan, China Adventure is back and offering 12 days of gorgeous scenery and bustling cities that never sleep. From the Great Wall of China to the Terracotta Warriors, street food tours and night markets, panda sanctuaries and acrobat shows, there’s no shortage of jaw-dropping experiences here. Bring an empty camera roll, you’ll want to snap pics and remember this all. 

5. Ancient Wonders: Rome, Athens, Cairo

For those that also grew up with an intense Mythology phase, we bring to you the Ancient Wonders trip which will take you to Rome, Athens, and Cairo. Ruins, temples, pyramids, museums, and other mystical destinations, prepare to scribble down furious notes and absorb all this history into your brain. All that, and impeccable weather!

6. Borneo Adventure

Borneo Adventure is for the explorer at heart and the animal lovers. Rainforest treks, river cruises, and plenty of animal sanctuaries (like turtles and orangutans!). It’s a trip that’s sure to give you a different perspective on the world and fill your heart with meaningful experiences. Expect many ‘ooos and ‘ahhs to slip from your lips. 

7. Bali Island Hopping

One of the world’s most iconic destinations is ready for you with a Contiki twist! Bali Island Hopping promises plenty of beaches and turquoise waters, as well adventurous treks and rafting, and plenty of cocktails and delicious foods to sweeten the deal even further. It’s island life dialled up to 100! 

8. Albania Beaches and Peaks

The secret’s out, Albania is Europe’s most hidden gem and it’s absolutely spectacular. Climb to new heights in the gorgeous mountains and gorges of the country, and then soak in the sun and sea along pristine white beaches. The organic farm-to-table dinner isn’t bad either (it’s amazing!), and the National Parks will leave you completely stunned. You’ll be telling all your friends about this place when you return home – and become a total trend-setter at the same time.

9. Ski New Zealand

The adventure capital of the world just became even more daring! Ski New Zealand promises snow and slopes (duh) flanked by some amazing views. And because it doesn’t get that cold in the land of the Kiwis, you’ll be able to top your trip off with some vineyard strolls and other adrenaline-pumping activities like bungee jumping and jet boat rides. Trust us, Queenstown is THE place to be in 2025!

10. Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam

One of the most famous routes in the world, the Ha Giang Loop in Vietnam is a bucket-list item you need to tick off, and now you can. Feast your eyes on some totally lush scenery in places like Heaven’s Gate, Sky Path, and the Abyss Alley, and get your dose of culture discovering traditional Vietnamese music and textiles. 

11. Peru: Lima to Huaraz

Peru is a country that knows no bounds when it comes to natural wonders, and this detour trip from Lima to Huaraz will showcase some magical destinations. The turquoise Laguna 69 and majestic Pastoruri Glacier are just some of the things you’ll see on this cultural voyage. High up in the Andes, life is totally different, and you’ll bring a whole new perspective home. 

12. England in a Week

There’s more to England than busy London, and we’re on a mission to prove that. Discover charming Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon where Shakespeare’s from, Bath where most of Bridgerton was shot, then make your way north to gems like Liverpool and York. Don’t forget the wild and vast Lake District, and we’ve even thrown in a spot of Scotland with Edinburgh! Culture and history and castles – what more could you ask for from England in a Week?

13. Active Swiss Alps

There’s more reasons to visit the Alps than just ski season. In the spring and summer, the mountains are covered in lush green grass and blanketed in soft sunlight. The air is crisp, and the cows are all out grazing living their best life. It’s the perfect time to get some heart-pumping activities like hikes and canyon swinging. That’s what Active Swiss Alps brings to the table (and plenty of good Alpine food too!).

14. Run Club

In the spirit of keeping things active and literally keeping you on your toes, we’ve welcomed a new type of trip: The Run Club! This collection brings you all your Contiki favourite activities and sights, with the addition of a run every morning. For the traveller who wants to see the world with a totally clear head, we’ve curated a selection of Sober Curious itineraries (with more to come!). It’s the same old Contiki you know and love, just without any booze. Whether you’ve been sober for a while or you’re trying it out, these trips are designed for all to take away a meaningful experience.
