Is this the most terrifying hotel in Peru, if not the world? Deep in the sacred valley of the Peruvian mountains lies a skylodge hotel with transparent pods that hang approximately 122 metres above the ground.

Cool, or just plain crazy? This million stars hotel in the city of Cuzco is run by Natura Vive, a Peruvian company offering adventure seekers a world-first experience. Three 24 x 8-metre transparent pods, large enough to sleep eight people, are made from aerospace aluminium and weather resistant polycarbonate and hang above the ground on a cliff-face in the Peruvian Andes. They come complete with a 300-degree view of the majestic Sacred Valley, which makes for optimum star-gazing late at night.
But here’s the catch – you’ll have to climb a 400-metre ladder, hike or use a zip-wire to transport you to this unique and terrifying hotel. An overnight stay will cost you a cool $320 USD, which includes breakfast, a gourmet dinner accompanied by wine, and a local guide who will help you along the way as you cling for dear life.
