Sarain Fox
TreadRight people ambassador
Born in Batchawana First Nation in Canada, Sarain Fox is an Anishinaabe dancer, broadcaster, and activist and one of Canada’s most prominent Indigenous voices. A storyteller at heart, she seeks to amplify the voices of her people in hopes of creating meaningful dialogue between her indigenous community and settler communities. Sarain’s screen highlights include Rise (Viceland), Cut-Off (Viceland) and APTN’s Future History.
Sarain Fox’s TreadRight impact
Sarain is a storyteller and activist dedicated to amplifying the voices of her Indigenous community. Her involvement with TreadRight came about through her work around the preservation of culture and stories, in particular her work with the Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School, The TreadRight Foundation’s first project in North America.
Sarain’s involvement with TreadRight emerged from her work helping to preserve Indigenous culture and stories through the Manitobah Mukluks Storyboot School — The TreadRight Foundation’s first project in North America. The school, located in Toronto Canada, teaches the traditional art of mukluk and moccasin-making in an effort to keep traditions alive and inspire the next generation of Indigenous artists.
All of Sarain’s work is rooted in her passion to represent and lift up Indigenous people and her commitment to climate justice, which includes her position as a board member for the Center for Biological Diversity.
Travel is an essential component of Sarain’s activism and storytelling. Through TreadRight, she is empowering people to recognize the impact they have as they travel and to make that impact a positive one. Sarain believes that everything we do in our lives should contribute to positive change.

Céline has collaborated through TreadRight with its project partners to shed light on various sustainable travel topics, and in 2018 produced two TreadRight Storyteller videos. Céline regularly presents on our collective opportunity to MAKE TRAVEL MATTER®, and has spoken on behalf of The TreadRight Foundation in New York, Toronto, London and Jordan.
Ami Vitale
TreadRight Wildlife Ambassador
Ami Vitale’s journey as a photographer, writer and filmmaker has taken her to over 100 countries where she has witnessed civil unrest and violence, but also surreal beauty and the enduring power of the human spirit.
Her belief that “you can’t talk about humanity without talking about nature” led her from documenting war zones to telling some of the most compelling wildlife and environmental stories of our time, where individuals are making a profound difference in the future of their communities and this planet.
Ami Vitale TreadRight impact
Ami is an award-winning National Geographic photographer, filmmaker, and writer whose work in wildlife conservation aligns with TreadRight’s initiatives including our work with rhino, elephant, and leopard populations across Africa and India.
For Ami, photography is more than just about the beautiful images created. Photography is a powerful tool for storytelling and creating awareness.
Ami uses her platform to tell the stories integral to our future: the stories about the human condition and its connection to the natural world. She believes that there’s been no time in human history that we’ve seen a greater awareness and opportunity for transformation.
She is an advocate for wildlife conservation and believes that without their existence, all of humanity suffers. We are excited to join forces with Ami to tell the wildlife stories that matter most on our mission to MAKE TRAVEL MATTER®.
