Having lived in Italy and Chile, it’s fair to say that Sascha Dhanjal has a good understanding of food quality. Now, she’s showing the world that by keeping a sustainable business ethos doesn’t mean compromising on taste or flavour.
As the owner of Saffi Foods, Sascha supplies her oils and vinegars to restaurants. Unsatisfied with where her business was at, she decided she wanted to target home cooks. She began partnering with local grocery stores in her hometown of Chicago to offer her products in bulk.
Zero-waste principles are embedded into Sascha’s business model at every level. She founded the company on three things: quality, traceability and sustainability. She emphasizes that even if a product comes in your own container, it can still be of the highest quality and taste. By improving the image of bulk foods, she set a new standard and showed customers that having sustainable products shouldn’t mean compromising on quality.
Saffi foods products are undiluted, unpasteurized and haven’t been added to in any way, shape or form. If that wasn’t awesome enough for you, they’re also raw and non-GMO organic whenever possible.
