We asked you to write your questions to Contiki Talks, and this time we’re tackling age. When is it too old to travel? Short answer – never! The world is your oyster whether you’re freshly 18 or pushing your sunset years, it’s never too late to tick off bucket list items and travel to your dream destinations. However, when you’re travelling in a group of people from all over the world, it can be easy to wonder whether your age will make you stick out.
Read on for some reassurance and make sure you book that holiday at the end!
Can you go on a Contiki if you are over 35?
Contiki is social travel for 18-35s and our trips usually only cater to this age bracket. But, for past Contiki travellers who just can’t get enough of the social vibe, you can book a Reunion trip!
Our reunion trips are for 35-45 year old travellers who have experienced a Contiki before, and want to go back (who doesn’t?).

Is 29 too old to go travelling?
Uh, who said that? Absolutely not! As long as your mind is curious and your heart yearns for adventure (dramatic, but you get it), you are never too old to travel.
If you’re travelling with Contiki, are 29 or over, and are feeling a little apprehensive about seeing the world with 18-25s, that’s totally understandable. Though most Contiki groups get along irrespective of age, it makes sense that you may want to be with people you can perhaps relate to more, etc. That’s why Contiki has a range of trips for 27-35s that you can check out so you’re travelling with people on your wavelength.
