Want to show your support for Movember, but are unable to join your friends growing luxuriously long moustaches? Don’t worry, there are still heaps of ways you can show support and get involved with fundraising for Movember this year!
Scroll through to see how you can support this great charity, which raises awareness and funds for men’s mental and physical health on a global scale.
Move For Movember
In the words of Gloria Estefan: get on your feet, get up and make it happen! The Move For Movember challenge involves participants walking, running, skipping, strolling and basically just moving any-which-way to a distance of 60km over the month of November.
The distance of the challenge is significant as it represents the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour across the world. With the money you collect on your Movember journey, the charity funds groundbreaking health projects across mental health, suicide prevention and more. You’ll be helping to change and save lives by signing up to the challenge here.
You can do it alone, or join a team and hit your goal together. Either way, you’ll be fundraising and encouraging open, honest conversations within your community.

Mo Your Own Way
This year, Movember has introduced the ‘Mo Your Own Way’ option for participants, meaning you get to set your own challenge. Which is perfect for our Contiki fam, who love to tackle new and exciting things!
The sky is the limit when picking your challenge; it can be anything you want! But if you’re struggling to think of ideas, why not think about your favourite part of travel and turn it into a challenge. Love hiking? Imagine you’re climbing a volcano in NZ and walk the distance of the summit. Enjoy exploring museums and galleries on holiday? Set yourself an artistic challenge like recreating a famous artwork or learning the skills of pottery. Love eating your way through a new city? Set some cooking goals and learn to create some international dishes you’ve never made before.
All you need to do is set yourself a challenge, ask your loved ones for support and help fundraise money for Movember. Find out how to Mo Your Own Way here.

Host A Mo-Ment
We Contiki travellers are social people, so what better way to support the Movember charity than to rally some of your best mates for a gathering or virtual event (depending on the current social distancing rules where you live).
You could host trivia, play board games, throw a dance party or relax with a classic movie night. Whether it’s online or in-person, the idea is to get some of your people together – family, friends, workmates, teammates – and have a joyous evening in the name of fundraising for a good cause. Register to host a Mo-Ment here.

Donate and Support Your Friends
You might not be taking part in the moustache-growing element of Movember this year, but you can still support your friends who are. Show support for your moustachioed pals by donating in honour of their efforts – just find out their individual or team name and search on Movember’s donation page.
You can also make a donation straight to the Movember organisation at any time of the year here.
You can find more info about how to take part and sign up for Movember on their website movember.com or search for the free Movember app in the App Store.
