Where is it? Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall
Why go there? Spectacular coastline, subtropical plants, dramatic caves and the sea – what more could you want along the six-hundred mile South West Coast. Lizard Point is also the most southerly point in Great Britain. Full walking route here.
Level? Beginner to intermediate, 2 hours and 20 minutes
Where is it? Helvellyn, The Lake District
Why go there? The Lake District has officially made it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and perhaps one of England‘s most popular mountain regions (Helvellyn is the third-highest point both in England). Here, you can expect to see deep glacial coves and two sharp-topped ridges on the eastern side (Striding Edge and Swirral Edge). Check out the full walking route here.

Where is it? Yorkshire Three Peaks
Why go there? The UK’s ‘Three Peaks’ is arranged in a triangle and covers 24.5 miles (39.2km). The circular route links between Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent with approx 1,500m of ascent and descent. Start in Horton, Ribblesdale, but come prepared as it may take up to 12-hours to complete.
Level? Intermediate to expert, 12 hours
Where is it? Hadrian’s Wall Path
Why go there? Want to step back in time when the Roman Empire was around? Walk 84-miles (135-km) from coast to coast following the World Heritage Site of Hardian’s Wall, past Roman settlements and forts. This historical walk will take you past pubs, bustling market towns and some of the wildest and most dramatic landscapes throughout the UK.
Level? Super challenging, approx 20-25 hours (so take a tent)

Where is it? Weymouth to Swanage, Dorset
Why go there? Think dramatic coastlines and gigantic geological formations like the Durdle Door, which is also a UNESCO world heritage site. The Jurassic coast covers over 95-miles of coastline and is believed to be around185-million years old. Its natural beauty and fossils are renowned throughout Great Britain.
