Who are we?
Slightly offended you’d ask, but we’re Contiki, nice to meet you! We’re the social travel people that get 18-35s travelling across the globe and making new friends while they’re at it. We’ve been doing this gig since the 60s, and honestly, we’re fantastic at it. And you, friend, can be fantastic too. We eat, breathe, and live for social travel, and if you feel the same, why not join us!

Why should I become a Rep?
Well, do you like extra $$$, seeing the world, and free travel? By becoming a Contiki Rep you can earn up to 10% commission on every trip booked by a traveller you’ve influenced, you’ll receive exclusive discounts, and the more you sell, the higher your discounts will become, up to 100% off!
But that’s not all – by becoming a part of the Contiki community you’ll be able to join Rep only educational trips, expand your professional and personal network, and work on potential brand collabs… Influencers, who?
How do I do it?
So glad you asked because this is what this article is all about: helping you become the absolute best Contiki Rep you can be! Maybe not always in 10 days, that was a small exaggeration (though it has been done!), but we had to hook you in somehow. We do have 10 tips to help you along the way, though, and who knows, maybe you’re a hidden talent and 10 days is all it’ll take you! We’d love to see it.

I mean, how can you sell something if you’ve never experienced it yourself (skip ahead if you have)? If you’ve been on a Contiki before and loved it, then who better to represent our brand and get other people onboard? And if you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? It’s a travel experience like no other!
Booking a Contiki is, for many, yourself included, the doorway that leads to exploring the world and checking off bucket-list items. If you’ve always wanted to stroll the streets of Paris, luxuriate under the Thai sun, or hike to Machu Picchu, then Contiki is the place for you. (Make sure you’re jotting these selling points down.)

2 – Get your friends involved

You can tell them all about how cool social travel is, and why they should seek it out on their own.
OR, for an extra cash boost, you can host your very own private group trip with your friends and everyone else they’ve managed to wrangle in!
3 – Organize an event
A bigger endeavour for sure, but what better way to spread the word than to organize an event Contiki style! Invite people to come along by enticing them with an exciting venue or the promise of a party. If you like, you could even collab with other Contiki Reps to maximize the crowd and make it a true bash! You’ll be able to give them a speech and a proper run down on why Contiki is so amazing and why they should all book using your fabulous code.
4 – Post lots of pics
The best way to become the perfect Contiki Rep is to post lots and lots and lots of pictures from your travels. If other people see you having fun, they’ll naturally want to join in, right?
Part of the Contiki Rep job is becoming a world-class content creator, and we’ll help you by providing awesome creator tips and tricks (like staying consistent and trusting the process) so you can make the most out of your platform! Insta, TikTok, photo dumps, reels, throw them all at your network – how will they be able to resist booking?

5 – Showcase your expertise
People love a travel expert – and that’s just what you are. Give them essential tips and must-know information like what to pack for when and where, how to get the best flight deals, how to apply for a passport if they don’t have one.
Not only will you be reassuring your network in this way, but you’ll also be creating loyalty to yourself – they’ll know who to go to for the best advice!
6 – Learn everything you can about Contiki
Similar to the above, people want to book with a brand they can trust – so knowledge really is your saving grace here. Browse Contiki.com, follow our Instagram and other socials, and learn as much as you can! Impress them with some impressive stats about our sustainability efforts, dazzle them with our plethora of destinations, and seal the deal by sharing reviews and your personal experience.
7 – More passion, more energy
No one wants to buy a product that the seller themselves aren’t excited about. You love travel, in fact, you live and breathe travel, so let that passion shine. Make some noise, get people just as excited as you are, shout ‘Contiki rules’ from the rooftops if you have to!

8 – Be curious
Why do we love travel? Because it’s an opportunity to exercise our curiosity – you get to discover new worlds, new ways of living, new cultures, and you get to absorb them all and bring them back home to share with others! That’s the beauty of it, so to become an excellent Contiki Rep you should let your curiosity shine and inspire that curiosity in others. Remind them that there’s a whole world to be seen, and we’re the best people to see it with.
9 – Boast
Sounds egotistical, but the best way to get the word out there is to talk about it, and talk about it a lot! This goes hand in hand with the content creation. Pull an Inception and plant that travel seed right in their brain. Your network will become just as obsessed as you and book immediately!
10 – Splurge
As your sales come rolling in, your personal discounts will become higher and higher. Take full advantage of these and book more trips for yourself! Not only is this a relaxing holiday for you, but it’s an opportunity to create more content, learn more about the brand, and also build up a personal recommendation list of trips for your network to book.
After this, it’s just a rinse and repeat of all the previous steps! With each new member added to your network, and each new Contiki experience under your belt, you’ll soon become the best Contiki Rep the travel world has ever known!
