We simply couldn’t look past this UNESCO heritage-listed island. Sitting pretty just off the city of Venice, Burano is known for its rows of colourful houses, artistic towns people and delicious local seafood. 2. Rhine Valley, Germany
From the bustling city streets of Berlin, to the historic beer halls in Munich, there’s a lot of ground to cover in Germany. But don’t sleep on The Rhine Valley. This fairytale landscape is the perfect spot for German Wine Tasting and indulging in local eats. Base yourself in the picturesque village of St Goar, from where you can pay visit to the region’s many wineries and spend time relaxing in nature.

6. Kyoto, Japan
As travellers continue to flock to the cool and increasingly busy city of Tokyo in Japan, we’ve got our eye on the equally exciting Kyoto. 7. Florence, Italy
No surprises here, but learning the art of making – and eating – pasta in Italy is one of the most popular experiences on your wish list. In the capital city of Florence in Tuscany, you can take in the historical sites like Duomo and Museo di San Marco before tucking in to a heavenly plate of pasta. 11. Chiang Mai Elephant Sanctuary, Thailand
For obvious reasons, a trip to the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai has won over the hearts of our followers. The Park is a Treadright-approved elephant rescue and rehabilitation centre, providing sanctuary for the elephants. Visitors can watch the elephants play, splash around in the water and even feed them at meal time. It’s a highlight for anyone visiting the region, and a favourite experience among our travellers on Contiki’s trip.
