Ever wondered how it would feel to be left on a castaway island? Wonder no more, it's finally here.

Docastaway is the first travel company in the world to specialise in holidays and experiences on remote desert islands. It offers an experience that legitimately makes you feel like you’re living in an episode of Castaway. We’re talking some of the most uninhabited and isolated tropical islands in the world that are completely untouched and pretty much unheard of.
There are two options available: Adventure mode or comfort mode. Think private villas, isolated retreats, eco-resorts or luxury mini-hotels for comfort mode. And for Adventure mode? ‘Docastawayers’ are faced with a quasi-survival experience and must find their own food and drink, supervised by their guides. This is a real opportunity to enjoy an adventure vacation on some of the planet’s most remote islands.

One of the first volunteer ‘Docastawayer’s’ described her humbling experience quite well:
“I felt very bad because my stomach was empty and I felt continually dizzy. On top of that it wasn’t very nice not being able to wash my clothes or myself. As I had no shelter the rain made me suffer a lot as did the insects and the sea. On the fifth day I felt absolute desperation knowing I still had another 13 days on the island.”
Somehow, she survived her 19-days completely alone and came out of it a new person:
“Anyway, thanks to this long suffering experience I now know the great importance of food, clothes and of a place to take refuge.”
Watch Reikko’s experience below.
With over ten various islands offered across the world with Docastaway, they are ranked in order of extremities with one place named Devil’s island (not frightening at all right?). On this island you are left completely isolated, with no hut or shelter and miles away from any form of civilisation.
Not sure about you guys, but think we’ll stick to Thailand thanks.
