On the top of our list is the one and only – Germany. Whether you love the Bavarian lifestyle or not, Munich is one of the best places to visit in September for one reason – Oktoberfest. (Yes, October-fest). It’s usually celebrated in the last 2 weeks of September ‘til early October. Of course, you’ll find beer. 2. Bordeaux, France: For fine wine
September’s the grape harvesting season in France. So what better place to celebrate than the home of fine wine? Yes, the weather’s perfect. But it’s also the best time to buy wine since most vineyard shops sell bottles at a discounted price in September. Not to mention, the baroque architecture is worth seeing too. And there are plenty of pristine beaches just a day trip away.
3. Crete, Greece: For island hopping
