Everyone’s favourite frazzled Englishwoman is back. It’s Bridget Jones, and yes she is messy, and yes she’s sexy, and yes she’s every millennial and Gen Z woman’s idol – how could she not be? Striving to better herself and her life, while also searching for that great true love, her adventures take her around London and to a few other European destinations.
Want to follow in her footsteps (perhaps a little less clumsily?), here are all the Bridget Jones filming locations!
Bridget Jones’s Diary filming locations
Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001) has highlighted some of London’s most charming spots, so if you’re in the city, make sure to check them out.
1. Borough Market
A signature foodie spot, Borough Market is filled with premier street food stalls that tourists and locals flock to. The traditional British pub, The Globe Tavern, plays the role of the exterior of Bridget’s cosy flat – though the actual flat is located on Beadle Street in Southwark.
2. Clink Street
Opposite to Bridget in many ways, suave and rogueish Daniel Cleaver (played by the ever charming Hugh Grant) lives in a sleek flat overlooking the Thames. The real location for this apartment is the Pickfords Wharf Apartments on Clink Street. We’re sure many similar tummy-tucking-knicker scenes have taken place here IRL…
3. Institute of Contemporary Arts
Working in the world of publishing, Bridget Jones is privy to many artistic events and venues, and this includes the chosen venue for the launch party of the fictional Kafka’s Motorbike. The backdrop for this party is in the Institute of Contemporary Arts, a hub for visual arts in London and host of various film festivals.
4. Royal Exchange
Perhaps one of the most iconic Bridget Jones filming locations, the Royal Exchange is where Bridget and Mark Darcy (played by Colin Firth) finally share a kiss, in the snow, with Bridget in her underwear, and Mark in a weather-appropriate woolen coat. The Royal Exchange buildings provide quite a regal background for what is the ultimate adorable and flustered moment.
5. Stoke Park Hotel, Buckinghamshire
Needing a getaway together, Daniel whisks Bridget away in his little car all the way to the Stoke Park Hotel in Buckinghamshire. Flanked by green golf courses and ponds and lakes, it’s the perfect location for a romantic getaway. This is also where the iconic boat scene happens – we know you know.
6. Snowshill, Gloucestershire
Bridget’s parents house, a wonderful classic English country home, is located outside of London in Gloucestershire. Hall’s Piece acts as the set, and it’s surrounded by lush greenery and quaint villages. Snowshill is an idyllic town well worth a visit if you like rolling hills, historic buildings, and all that British charm.
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason filming locations
Bridge Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004) takes us briefly over to Thailand for some drug-induced drama, though London remains the heart of our singleton’s escapades.
1. Primrose Hill
We all sit around and fantasise about big romantic gestures, don’t we? Bridget is the same, and in the opening scenes of the film she sits on a bench on gorgeous Primrose Hill and thinks of Mark Darcy, frolicking in the grass like a scene from The Sound of Music.
Primrose Hill is beloved in London, and it’s perfect for a stroll on a sunny day. Many other films and TV shows take audiences here, like Netflix’s tragic One Day (which also features Leo Woodall, Bridget’s upcoming beau!).

2. Kensington Gardens
In a hilarious scene fitting of any rom-com, Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver engage in a physical fight, literally dueling over Bridget. Swoon! The fight sees them grappling at each other through Kensington Gardens, and it ends when Darcy hauls Cleaver into a fountain in the Italian Garden. Another wet Hugh Grant, who does deserve it.
3. The Light Bar, Shoreditch
Bridget and her friends Shazza, Jude, Tom, and Miranda meet up at this prime east-London restaurant and bar for some much needed dishing sessions and catching up. Shoreditch is filled with these kinds of trendy yet cosy restaurants, and it’s the perfect place for a night out on the town – perhaps to find a Darcy of your own?
4. Thailand
Though a brief holiday turned visit to jail (oops!) Bridget finds herself on the shores of Thailand! The country’s vibrant capital city of Bangkok features, as well as the popular island of Phuket, and Phang Nga Bay. As long as you don’t follow in Bridget’s footsteps, you’ll have the best time ever.
5. Austria
The cast and crew found themselves some wintery Bridget Jones filming locations for an epic ski trip! They filmed in Austria, more specifically Lech am Arlberg, just outside of Innsbruck. If you and your friends fancy hitting the slopes, gossiping, and participating in all the Après fun, we’ve got the perfect ski trips for you! Hopefully you won’t faceplant quite as much, but if you embarrass yourself on the slopes you can dazzle people in Hopfy’s karaoke bar.

Bridget Jones’s Baby filming locations
In Bridget’s thrilling third chapter she’s faced with a new challenge: pregnancy!
1. Greenwich Park
Best friends Bridget and Shazza spend time together discussing all things babies and new man Jack Qwant (played by Patrick Dempsey). Greenwich Park is the perfect place to do this thanks to the sprawling greens and nearby Old Royal Naval College (which also features in Bridgerton!) providing a gorgeous backdrop, especially on a warm spring day.
2. London Aquatics Centre
To prepare for the birth, Bridget takes some pre-natal classes with both Jack and Mark, and these take place at the London Aquatics Centre in Stratford. If you’re in the mood for a swim in some bougie facilities, you know where to head.
3. St. Clement Danes Church
The sleek and elegant interiors of the St. Clement Danes Church make for the perfect venue to host a certain caddish man’s funeral. Daniel Cleaver has departed (though he returns in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy so we’ll see how that plays out) and his memorial service is awash in gold and black and white. The Church is the church of the Royal Air Force, and hosts memorials for those who have died in service.
4. Albert Bridge
As if birth isn’t stressful enough, trust Bridget and her luck to make it worse. Met with an early labour and unfortunate traffic, Mark and Jack are forced to carry Bridget to the hospital. What bridge do they walk over to do this? The Albert Bridge in Battersea! London has many, many, bridges, but this one is definitely one of the prettier ones.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy filming locations
In 2025, Helen Fielding’s iconic leading lady returns for Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy where audiences will mourn Mark Darcy and swoon over new love interests Roxster (Leo Woodall) and Mr. Wallaker (Chiwetel Ejiofer).
1. Hampstead Heath
One of London’s most beloved neighbourhoods, Hampstead Heath is ideal for slow mornings sipping lattes and strolling through the parks. In summer, locals congregate at the natural swimming ponds for a dip and some fun under the sun.
Bridget, now with two children, has settled in the affluent area, and it’s in one of the parks (or a tree, more specifically) that she meets young and handsome Roxster.
2. Moor House
Bridget’s new workplace was filmed at Moor House in London, an impressive glass building which is a testament to her career success and moving up in the world! Yay Bridget!
3. The Lake District
A school expedition takes Bridget and her kids, as well as Mr. Wallaker up to the Lake District in the north of England, no doubt so they can discover the sprawling natural beauty of this area. Lakes (duh), forests, hills, and plenty of fields, this is the place to come to be inspired and spend some time in the fresh air.
